MTU South Africa supplies Detroit Diesel and Mercedes Benz industrial engines as well as product support services for these engines to customers in our area of responsibility.

The portfolio of C&I engines that we supply and support include the full range of Mercedes Benz 900 Series C&I engines, the older two-stroke Detroit Diesel engines, that is, the 49, 53, 71 and 92 Series as well as the Detroit Diesel Series 40, 50 and 60 four-stroke engines used for applications such as cranes, pumps, fire engines and compressors. It is important to note that MTU South Africa retained the ability to provide engineering support for the older and discontinued generation of ADE engines that include the 364LA, 366LA, 447LA and 442LA engine series.

Our site office in Durban provides intensive Mercedes Benz industrial engine support to Bell Industries, a major producer of articulated dump trucks. Engines currently supplied for Bell dump trucks include the OM Series 501LA, 502LA, 926LA, 906LA and 904LA engines.
