MTU engine overhaul begins with a complete engine disassembly, right down to the last bolt. All parts are thoroughly cleaned and inspected according to factory guidelines. We reuse any components that can be restored to original factory blueprints and quality specifications. Any components that are worn damaged or have outdated design, as well as all wear parts (such as bearings, gaskets, seals, etc.) are replaced with genuine MTU parts. Our MTU_ValueExchange process ensures competitive turnaround times.
MTU reassembles the engine using standardized, factory-approved methods. After we test the engine on a dynamometer to confirm that it meets the original factory requirements, it’s painted to factory specifications. Besides the engine maintains always its identity throughout the overhaul, making it easier to track usage, calculates residual value and perform other financial functions.
Remanufacturing also reduces demands for energy and natural resources and generates less waste compared with the manufacture of new engines.
