As a systems provider, MTU develops and realizes customized and highly integrated system solutions together with customers and vehicle manufacturers from 160 to 2,016 kW, even for the most demanding requirements and applications. MTU Drive Solutions for Military Vehicles:

Light and medium vehicles (Series 106, 199)

The proven 106 and 109 series are truck engines that have been adapted and modified for military use. With 160 to 600 kW and high efficiency, they guarantee a wide range of operational flexibility as well as full maneuverability and mobility in every terrain.

Light and medium vehicles (Series 890)

The powerful and extremely compact 890 series was constructed specifically as an engine for medium military vehicles. Power outputs of 400 to 1,200 kW set standards in highly integrated drive system technologies and guarantee high mobility.

Heavy vehicles (Series 870, 880)

Full power from 735 to 2,016 kW: our diesel engines from the 870 and 880 series for main battle tanks, howitzers and other heavy vehicles guarantee swift movement from one location to another through high maneuverability, high power density and maximum acceleration.

The MTU PowerPack® and the MTU EuroPowerPack with automatic transmissions are highly integrated and extremely flexible drive systems. They impress with their high maintainability and compact dimensions for low space requirements.
